Jamie Cullum: Los Angeles

Drove to LA to see Jamie Cullum perform at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater last night.  It was a really great show.  What happened after was another story.  We decided to just hang out after the show and walk around the venue and we decided, ah screw it we’re gonna’ try to meet this guy.  We walked back where we figured he’d leave the venue and waited for about an hour and a half.

As we were waiting, some older looking man walked out and it turned out to be Clint Eastwood.  Clint Eastwood co-wrote the theme for the movie Gran Torino with Jamie Cullum so I guess he decided to come out to the show.  I saw him walking out and literally yelled, “Yo Clint!” In retrospect, I should have been more respectful.  Regardless, got him to sign my poster.  That was unexpected.  Seems like a cool guy.

Waited a little longer then saw Cullum coming out of the venue and got to meet him/autograph/picture.  Shook his hand twice. Felt like a tween girl meeting a Jonas Brother.

Definitely worth the 30 bucks I paid for the ticket.
